SuperEnalotto is an Italian lottery game that was launched in 1997 (replacing an existing Enalotto game) and draws currently take place every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. SuperEnalotto tickets can now be obtained online from locations around the world.

SuperEnalotto has some of the most challenging odds of any world lottery, with the odds of winning the jackpot standing at 1 in 622,614,630. The positive side of this is that repeated rollovers are quite common, and those help to generate some incredibly large jackpots. The biggest on record was worth €371.1 million and was won in February 2023.

Players need to select six numbers from a range of 1 to 90 and match all six to secure the top prize. If two or more lottery tickets match all the SuperEnalotto numbers then the jackpot is shared between them, but if no lottery ticket wins the jackpot it rolls over to the next draw. A seventh number, referred to as the ‘Jolly’, is drawn to determine the second-tier prize winners.

Because there are such a large range of numbers to choose from, many SuperEnalotto players like to purchase multiple entries. The game allows players to buy system entries that offer certain guaranteed returns if they match enough of their numbers. The more selections SuperEnalotto players include in such system entries, the more their participation will cost, but of course they also benefit from having a greater chance of winning.

SuperEnalotto players can also pay a little more to select a SuperStar number from the range 1 to 90 to increase the value of any non-jackpot prizes they win. If they manage to match the SuperStar number and up to two of the main SuperEnalotto numbers then they win a prize they wouldn't have without the SuperStar, and if they match three or more main numbers they win larger amounts than they would without it.
